poorly made February 3, 2008 Reviewer:  Tedious Relation (Brooklyn, NY United States)  See all my reviews >

We were so excited to receive this, but it arrived in shards. The wash basin had come loose and banged around during shipping. At first, I thought that was an unfortunate fluke, but upon inspection, I saw how thin and cheap the plastic parts were -- I'm surprised any of these make it through shipping in one piece. I'm disappointed not to have it, but decided not to order a replacement, since it seemed so poorly made.

started smoking during 1st use January 12, 2008 Reviewer:  Geoff (San Francisco, CA)  See all my reviews >

During the first use this washer started smoking and the engine blew out. - and no I did not overload! I really feel that this machine is cheap and really is not worth the money. The parts are all cheap plastic and the shell is like tin foil. Unfortunately there are few options for portable washers, especially at this price. I'd say give it a shot - we may just have received a defective item - and if it doesn't work return it.

Question January 8, 2008 Reviewer:  cool "Mom in Astoria" (New York)  See all my reviews >

Am interested in purchasing this washer. Can someone tell me if it attaches easily to the faucet? I have a new gooseneck faucet and am wondering if the adapter will fit this faucet. Thanks in advance for anyones help.

Danby Top Load Portable Washer Review November 25, 2007 Reviewer:  Lucy4G "Lucy4G" (Sacramento, CA)  See all my reviews >

Great for an apartment. Fits in small bathroom and hooks up to old faucet with adapter provided. Easy to operate and set up the first time. Cleans clothes very well. Spin cycle does a great job; I just hang clothes to dry for a few hours. It does a decent size load. It does leak from the water connections on the back of the unit, but I put plumbers tape on and that fixed the problem. I also applied Magic Sliders on the feet, so it glides easily to the sink. Also, zip tied the two hoses together, (that go to the sink) so the outlet hose doesn't move and empty onto the floor. Well worth the price - sure beats going to the laundromat. I should have purchased this years ago. Has a good warranty too.

Great Washer September 6, 2007 Reviewer:  Tammy G (N.C.)  See all my reviews >

I purchased this washer in May and it was delivered damaged on the outside. However, the washer runs great load after load. It is lite weight so i can move it easy with little effort. Clothing comes clean time after time!
The damage ( dents) was due to shipping. It was a good investment.

Great machine. July 24, 2007 Reviewer:  A Grad student "Lizzy M" (Tucson, AZ United States)  See all my reviews >

I bought this washing machine in mid-may. This is one of the best investments I've ever made. Despite being small enough to fit comfortable in my apartmetn bathroom, this washing machine holds a surprising amount of wash--I can fit all the sheets and pillowcases from my double bed in one load. The cycle is pretty quick too, about half an hour. It's the perfect solution for apartment dwellers. I'm pretty sure that the machine will have paid for itself after another 3 months, since I don't have to pay for the laundromat. I love it!

Great workhorse! April 2, 2007 Reviewer:  Bumper Kitty (Irvine, CA)  See all my reviews >

We got this washer over a year ago because our apt. laundry was not getting our clothes clean. This unit fits in our guest bathroom and is fantastic! I do 5-6 loads weekly and it handles towels, duvet comforters, etc. I only have 1 heavy king duvet cover that I don't use the unit for although it fits...afraid I'll burn out the motot. I would highly recommend. Company very responsive to parts needs!
